TÜBİTAK Science Award Goes To Prof. Dr. Gürsan

Ege University Faculty of Pharmacy member Prof. Dr. K. Arzum Erdem Gürsan, won a TÜBÄ°TAK science award on health sciences field.

TÜBÄ°TAK Science Committee decided to give only 4 Science Awards in 2015.

Prof.Dr.Gürsan, recieved her award from the President of the Republic Recep Tayyip ErdoÄŸan.

The Science Award given to those of our live scientists who have greatly contributed to science internationally consists of 50.000 TL, Gold Plaque and the award charter, for 2015.

Science Award recipients also recieve a research support.

Research Areas: magnetic particles, carbon nanotubes, graphene and its derivatives, nanorods, nanowires, nanoparticles (gold, metal nanoparticles and tin oxide such as silver, metal oxide nanoparticles such as zinc oxide), dendrimers, developing conductive polymers and electrochemical-based biopolymer (bio) and sensor aptasens technology, nanomaterials based on the new generation of biosensors / aptasens technology of drug-DNA interactions, aptamer-protein interactions, genetic and infectious diseases based on sequence-selective nucleic acid (DNA, RNA) applications for the electrochemical detection of hybridization,

For the selective and sensitive analysis nucleic acids, drugs, proteins, biomarkers of some diseases, "disposably" working with the principle of new electrochemical-based single and multiple measurements (bio) development and implementation of sensor technology.
