Academic Peace Support by the President of Bosnia Bakir Ä°zetbegoviç
- Prof. Dr. Bilgehan Gültekin co-authoring her book titled “Lider Ülke Türkiye’nin Barış Diplomasisi” (Leading Country Turkey’s Peace Diplomacy), visits neighboring countries and speaks one on one with the head of state and government officials and including the leaders’ views in her book.Prof. Dr. Bilgehan Gültekin was recently welcomed at the Sarajevo Presidential Palace by the President of Bosnia Bakir Ä°zetbegoviç related to his works.
Ä°zmir (Ege Ajans) – Ege University Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture Prof. Dr. Bilgehan Gültekin has developed a 40-category academic model which defines effective international peace leadership in his book co-authoring with his sister Dokuz Eylul University Buca Faculty of Education, Head of the Department of Painting Associate Professor Dr. Tuba Gültekin “Lider Ülke Türkiye’nin Barış Diplomasisi” (Leading Country Turkey’s Peace Diplomacy). In extent of their peace model, the President of Bosnia Bakir Ä°zetbegoviç showed his support to the siblings who had meetings with EU leaders.
“Peace Communication Leadership”
The President of Bosnia Bakir Ä°zetbegoviç was recognized as one of the strongest political leader in “Peace Communications” through an evaluation of the meetings with a 100 ambassadors, 4 foreign secretaries, 200 diplomats and the votes of the university students involved with the research. Gültekin siblings who transformed their study into an award project under the title “Peace Communication Leadership” were welcomed at the Sarajevo Presidential Palace by the President of Bosnia Bakir Ä°zetbegoviç related to their work on the 15th of October 2016.
In his hour long meeting with President of Bosnia Bakir Izetbegović at the Bosnia Herzegovina Presidential Palace, Prof. Dr. Bilgehan Gültekin noted that Bair Izetbegovic was one of the strongest political leaders in the Balkan region with his ability to transform his interpersonal ability to communicate and for running a very steady leadership in peace diplomacy. President Izerbegovic underlined the importance of peace diplomacy, stated that he showed full academic support to this matter and that this matter was key to solving international debates.
